The whole point of what Shue was saying was that for everyone, there’s at least one thing that would make them consider suicide. For him, his parents disappointment was it. It’s not fair for anyone to say my pain is worse than your pain, because how can you know they’re not feeling equally bad, or worse than you? Obviously cheating on the test was a big deal to him. Lay off Mr. Shue, people.
